De Atramentis — Document Sepia Ink Review # 81 Originally posted on FPN: Sep 9, 2023 Ink: Sepia Series: Document Brand: De Atramentis Country: Germany Type: Pigment ink Availability: 45 ml bottles. Pens Used: Pilot Kakuno EF, Stub, Kaweco (EF/F/M/B/stub 1.1), Osmiroid Copperplate nib Description This is an excellent sepia ink by De Atramentis. I used it repeatedly. Very well-behaved ink and easy to clean. Shading is only visible with flex nibs. The flow is wet, and lubrication was best with the Kaweco. Note on pigment inks: Pigmented fountain pen inks are best used in well-sealed pens that are easy to dismantle. Regular cleaning is advisable, and pen flush may be needed if water alone is not enough.
