Tintenlabor – Schokolade (chocolate)   Ink Review # 205   Originally posted on FPN: Oct 02, 2025   ---   🧾  Description   Ink:  Tintenlabor – Schokolade (chocolate) Available:  30/50 ml bottles, directly from Tintenlabor. Pens Used:  Pilot Kakuno EF,  Kaweco Sport (EF/F/M/B/ Stub 1.9) , Ahab with FPR ultra-flex.   Tintenlabor is a Swiss ink company specializing in Iron Gall inks. What differentiates this ink from other brands is that you would know the iron content.    The samples were sent to me by the Ink-Meister, David.    The inks have been streamlined and now comprises a few new colours.  Chocolate has a 4 g/L per liter iron content.  The highest iron content is 6 g/L (Goldrausch) and lowest is 1 g/L (Alpstein).    Ink writes like a reddish hot chocolate and oxidizes to dark brown or black.  You can see the oxidation process here with a Jinhao fude nib. Anderson Pens - Oshkosh Denim    Ink Review #  93   Originally posted on FPN:  Nov 1, 2023   Ink:  Oshkosh Denim (discontinued) Brand:  Anderson Pens Country:  USA Availability:  Unobtanium Pens Used:  Pilot Kakuno EF, Lamy Safari (EF, F, M, B, 1.1), Osmiroid Copperplate semi-flex nib. Description This ink was graciously given to me by a FPN member. I enjoyed using this ink at first with my trusty Lamy Safari for sketching, taking notes, etc. However, I forgot about the pen for about 2 weeks, with the converter half full. It refused to write even after priming. Finally, I just refilled the pen and it was still sluggish. It was a disappointment, to put it mildly. The next day, I had the same startup problems, but after a little priming the pen was writing well. I won’t tell you how excruciating it was coaxing ink from the dry Osmiroid. Given that this pen is problematic and is only tamed with wet and well-lubricated inks, this was pe...

Büroservice Bergmann Rotfliessende Eisengallustinte (Red flowing Iron gall)   Ink Review #  40   Originally posted on FPN:  Jan 6, 2023   Ink:  Rotfliessende Eisengallustinte (Red flowing Iron gall) Brand:  Büroservice Bergmann  Country:  Germany Availability:  Discontinued. Pens Used:  : Noodler’s Ahab, Jinhao 450 (M, fude), Lamy Safari B Description Another great ink for iron gall ink lovers. The name is quite a mouthful. Thanks to @christof for introducing them to me. It was made in Germany and exclusively sold from their website by the maker, Thomas Bergmann.  It came in 2 colors: red and blue. Both inks are water-resistant. The blue one slightly more so. The price plus shipping to Canada for two bottles was €16. That's 8€ a bottle. The bottles remind me of smaller De Atramentis ones. As you can see the labels are very elegant. Note the beautiful red dye: It's a wet ink with slightly below-average lubrication. The ink is br...
