Octopus Write and Draw Green Panda   Ink Review # 240   Originally posted on FPN:  Apr 19, 2026   --- 🧾  Description   Ink:  Green Panda Brand:  Octopus Write & Draw Country:  Germany Bottle size:  50 ml Pens Used:  Osmiroid Copperplate EEF flex, Lamy (EF/F/M/B/ stub 1.1).   This in is one of the Write & Draw series by Octopus Fluids. Inks are waterproof and lightfast.    This is a bright green ink, too bright for my taste.   Lubrication was slightly below average.  Excellent on copy paper, with minimal bleed-through. Dry times were adequate on Rhodia. Shading is subtle and paper dependant. There’s often some silver sheen with all Write & Draw inks on Iroful paper.    If you need bright waterproof green ink this might fit the bill.    Pigment inks overtime can be difficult to clean. You’ll need a well-sealed pen, otherwise the ink will cling on the convertor ...

Pens Used:  Pilot Kakuno EF, Lamy (EF/F/M/B/ stub 1.1) , Kanwrite Desire with FPR Ultraflex nib.   One of three oranges from the Write and Draw series, waterproof and lightfast. According to the Octopus website these inks were developed with Kaweco and Diplomat pens.  Ink is a bright-ish orange (depending on the paper), with some shading and short dry times. Ink has below-average to average lubrication depending on the nib size. There is ghosting and bleed-through on copy paper.  If you let the ink dry in your pen, you’ll regret it. For cleaning, one would need both cleaning solution and a pen jacuzzi. This is a close-up of the fe...

Pens Used:  Pilot Kakuno EF, Lamy Safari (EF / F / M / B / Stub 1.1), Kanwrite Desire with Ahab nib. 🧾  Description I really like Octopus inks, especially their Write & Draw series. These are my favourite waterproof and lightfast inks. They are very well behaved, well priced, dependable, and a pleasure to use. This is a lovely calm green pigment ink with medium shading from the Write & Draw series, purrfect for all those feline lovers. 🐯 It is excellent on copy paper. Cleaning was easy. However, as with most pigment inks, it can stick to hidden parts of the pen, such as the threads of the section. I do not recommend it for pens that cannot be dismantled or for overly expensive pens. However, if you have had a long experience with pigment inks, you shou...
