Ink Review # 25

Originally posted on FPN: Dec 30, 2021

Ink: Kuprin
Series: Russian Series
Type: Bulletproof
Brand: Noodler's
Country: USA
Availability: 3 oz/ 90 ml bottles. Russian Series inks are more expensive than standard bulletproof inks.
Pens Used: Noodler’s Ahab semi-flex, Kaweco Perkeo F, Jinhao (M, fude)

Description

This is a rich garnet color, an homage to the Russian novelist Aleksandr Kuprin. The color, I assume, is a nod to one of his short stories, the Garnet Bracelet, a sentimental story of unrequited love.

The ink is a deep, warm burgundy. I found it much more pleasant with soft, smooth nibs and a light touch.
