🧾 Description

Ink: Sand

Brand: Inkebara

Country: Czech Republic

Available: 60 ml bottles.

Pens Used: Pilot Kakuno EF, Lamy (EF/F/M/B/ stub 1.1), Jinhao 450 fude nib.

Inkebera is Czech company.

Sand is a legible tan with lovely shading. It’s sold as a dual shader. I didn’t notice any of it, until I hit it with water.

Like most colours in this hue, it lacks lubrication and is unpleasant with F nibs and below. It has a watery like quality and was unpleasant with the fude nib.

I believe it’s best suited for absorbent papers.

I had mishap with my sample, so I ran out of the ink with the flex nib, though in retrospect I’m glad I did.

This ink needs a soft and ideally wide nib to make it work.

This ink needs a soft and ideally wide nib to make it work. But when it works the colour is luminous. :)

  💬 Closing

Like most tans this ink is very deficient in lubrication. For art work it was fun to use, as it captures well the golden sand of the Sahara.

No fountain pens were hurt in preparing this review. ;)

Please don’t hesitate to share your experience, writing samples, or any other comments — the more the merrier. :)
