Description A very nice waterproof, lightfast bright murky-ish green, with slightly below-average lubrication. If you want a darker one, go for Crane Green. A note about ostriches. It's a common misconception that ostriches hide their head under the sand; it couldn't be further from the truth. Apparently they look for food on the ground and when they lay their eggs, they have to turn them regularly, hence giving the impression that they are hiding in the sand. Pens Used:  Lamy Safari (reverse EF, EF / F / M / B / Stub 1.1), vintage Sailor Deluxe flex. Description It's one lovely murky green. It sings on Japanese paper. Most inks from this series that I have reviewed sport a silver sheen on Iroful paper under artificial light only.   A waterproof, lightfast green, with slightly below average lubrication and very fast dry times.   Note on Octopus Write & Draw inks:  these are pigmented fountain pen inks. Octopus lists a two-year shelf life and recommends well-sealed pens with regular cleaning. They also note ISO 12757-2 / DIN ISO 14145-2 compliance. Description Lie in French means lees or dregs; here, it refers to the residue deposited in a teapot.   This ink brings me fond memories. Many years ago, I scrubbed the tea stains off my mother's teapot, thinking it would please her. She wasn't pleased. I'd removed the secret to her great tea, she informed me. Lesson learned.   Ink is a lovely brown shading ink with the most amazing chroma.   Dry times are longer than usual but can be mitigated with finer nibs. I enjoyed using this ink for sketching. Description A pure turquoise with gold shimmer, the eighth ink in the 1670 series.   Ink is very wet, slightly below-average in lubrication like most turquoises, has long dry times on Rhodia, and has feeble water resistance.   Colour can be reminiscent of turquoise gems or domes of mosques in Persia, aka Iran.   I would have preferred it with a silver shimmer. Pens Used:  Pilot F3A EF semi-flex, Lamy Safari (EF / F / M / B / Stub 1.1). Description Barock inks are a reissue of an East German brand, which went kaput in 2011 and was revived by Octopus. As of 2024 there are six colours.   "The story of the brand goes back to 1826, when the company August Leonhardi was founded. August Leonhardi became famous for his patented, legendary Alizarin inks.
