Diamine Graphite   Ink Review # 206   Originally posted on FPN: Oct 05, 2025   ---   🧾  Description   Ink:  Diamine Graphite Available:  30/80 ml bottles from most vendors. Pens Used:  Pilot Kakuno EF, Lamy (EF/F/M/B/ stub 1.1),  Karas Vertex with an ultra-flex Bock nib from FPNibs.   Diamine Graphite is wet, dark grey color with green undertones. Shading is minimal, only with M/B nibs.  Color is most intriguing with a Stub nib as the green comes through.    But with other nibs it was good, i.e. even with the Japanese EF Pilot Elite.  ;)    Ink behaves well in general, but there might be some ghosting. Bleed-through will happen if you use a very wet pen.    I kept the inks for a month in my pens, so in the end I resorted to cleaning solution and pen jacuzzi to clean the pen. :bath:    I most enjoyed this ink for drawing. As a writing ink I enjoyed it most with a very wet...

Pens Used:  Pilot Kakuno EF,  Kaweco Sport (EF/F/M/B/ Stub 1.9) , Ahab with FPR ultra-flex.   Tintenlabor is a Swiss ink company specializing in Iron Gall inks. What differentiates this ink from other brands is that you would know the iron content.    The samples were sent to me by the Ink-Meister, David.    The inks have been streamlined and now comprises a few new colours.  Chocolate has a 4 g/L per liter iron content.  The highest iron content is 6 g/L (Goldrausch) and lowest is 1 g/L (Alpstein).    Ink writes like a reddish hot chocolate and oxidizes to dark brown or black.  You can see the oxidation process here with a Jinhao fude nib. Pens Used:  Pilot Kakuno EF,  Kaweco (EF/F/M/B/ BB, Stub 1.9) , Kanwrite with FPR Flex nib.   Van Dieman’s is a prolific ink company based in Tasmania, Australia.   Part of the Feline series, Here Kitty Kitty is a pale pink, beige ink with heavy gold shimmer.  I don’t like shimmer inks in general, and this one is no exception. I made the mistake of reviewing it under artificial light. At times I couldn’t read what the “shimmer” I was writing.  Sometimes it was too bright, sometimes too pale. It is legible once it dries.  I could not ascertain if the flow was wet or not, at times it was, but then it stopped writing. It might be I didn't fill the p...
